Lulu is a favourite here - among humans anyway; unfortunately, she does get bullied by the other deer!
Lulu is a fallow deer. Her spotty fur tricks people into thinking she is a baby, but she is actually over 13 years old (quite an old lady in deer terms!). She was being illegally kept on a property in the middle of Brisbane city, and is lucky enough to have been brought to us for her senior years. She is a gentle, stubborn, sweet lady.
When you sponsor Lulu, you will be helping to provide food, comfortable environments and veterinary care for her and all the animals here at the Lyell Deer Sanctuary, and supporting us to be able to continue rescuing and rehabilitating more deer. We are entirely self-funded, and every little bit helps so much!
