Ember is a lucky girl. Strikingly dark red coloured with her typically haughty red deer personality, she emerged as a newborn fawn from a forest on fire in December 2019, straight into the arms of a kind-hearted firefighter. Ember wears a collar so I can easily point her out to people as she can be quite grumpy and moody (I blame the bushfire experience!). So if you often feel like kicking people, Ember will probably be your match!
 
When you sponsor Ember, you will be helping to provide food, comfortable environments and veterinary care for her and all the animals here at the Lyell Deer Sanctuary, and supporting us to be able to continue rescuing and rehabilitating more deer. We are entirely self-funded, and every little bit helps so much!
